Yesterday, Alex turned the big 1-6! He spent the day with Braden and Clayton (so glad he has such GREAT friends). Made him shrimp fettuccine for dinner and had cake and ice cream (hey....you're never too old for a party, right?). Happy Birthday to one great kid....so proud of how hard you are working!
Poor Ryan is sick - sound asleep in bed with a 102 temp this morning. It's killing him that he will miss tonight’s game. I'll bet by noon he's coming down to the office and announcing that he's all well and ready to head back to school! Went to the doctor yesterday and he said it wasn't strep or pneumonia though - so he should be up and well within a few days.
Got Matt all "tucked away" into his new surroundings. Bought all his textbooks and went shopping at the nearby Fred Meyer for all of his needs. A short, but great trip to see him. Glad he's finally there and ready to start classes. He's been playing basketball every day and working out at Dixon. He'll do very well there.
On the way home, stopped and had a bite to eat with Heather - she's due on April 11th (can't wait, can't wait, can't wait!). They are on their way to Canada on Saturday with Grandpa & Grandma for a hunting trip. Have a blast guys!!
Greg just got through with a three-day stay in Salem for Emergency Board. He's on his way home now - will be glad to have him back. I stayed the night with him on Tuesday night after spending the day with Matt. We went on a date; Chinese Food & our favorite dessert shop on Liberty. Kind of nice to be alone once in awhile (not that we mind the circus we call home, work & kids!). It was definitely a quiet evening.
Tomorrow....we all leave for Enterprise early in the morning for work, then Mustang football in the evening. Last year was freezing; I hope it's a little warmer this time around.
I didn't hear from Elder Smith this week - that kid better have a good reason for not writing his ever-worrying mother!!!!!

P.S.....forgot to post pictures from our adventures this last week. I have some great shots of Patrick riding the bull and Matt's dorm room, but they are on my phone and I'm not smart enough to download them just yet (maybe I'll figure it out someday!)
The park opening was beautiful in Irrigon - our prayers and thoughts go out to the Fox family. The park has been named as a memorial tribute to their son; Trevor, who died last year as a result of an accident.
