The final set ot kids went home at nearly 5 a.m. this morning. At the Mahon's, we ate (and ate and ate and ate......) and played some interesting (& high spirited) games of Twister. After this, the kids all came to La Casa de Smith for a fire, pool party & sauna (only 2 young ladies left the party due to work obligations this morning). What a fun night for this great group of kids! The Queen of the Prom was Haley, Brayden Mahon's date. She was very nice - and fun to be around (and boy............can she play Twister!). I'm glad Alex went with this clan to the dance; they are a very GREAT group of friends.
It's now 9 a.m., and I've hustling to get everyone ready for the Trevor Fox Children's Park dedication in Irrigon. We have 2 hours to get everything ready and be in Irrigon for Greg to speak (think we can make it - Irrigon is an hour away????). We then attend the "Pink Ladies" game # 2. Should be exciting.
Once we're done with that, this old lady is heading for bed at home! As the kids ran in and out of my house, I watched I Love Lucy reruns. Laughing was the only thing keeping me awake.
Tomorrow, 1 pm, is the official move-in day for our Matthew. Should I dare say in this Duck-loving house: "Go Beavers!"?
