Today, Ryan was nominated to run for Class President. He will be facing off against Caitlyn Bailey (one of my favorite young ladies!) and Josh Dowdy. He is currently practicing his speech in the bathroom mirror. My favorite line, ".....and girls, you KNOW I want to be YOUR class President". He cracks me up as he says that line with a huge smile.
Gen had her first soccer practice today. I thought she would be timid and (perhaps) even a little too girlie. Boy did she shock me! She got back in the car, red faced and all, and said, "I thought I was gonna get in a fist fight Mom". Yikes......she's turning into a tom-boy! I think it's time to go shopping at Claire's to buy some girlie things (I have enough boys in this house!).
I asked Matt yesterday how it felt to not be going to school for the first time. He said he didn't even remember.....he just woke up and went to work. It didn't click with him until I called that it was even the first day! 19 days and counting until he moves to Corvallis. So excited for him!
Alex just got home from playing Ultimate Frisbee. It's 9 o'clock and we still need to practice the alphabet in Spanish. He must know the letters by Sept. 15th. Wish us luck! I LOVE that he's liking this class so much. I can hear he and his Dad reciting colors upstairs. Blanco....azul....rojo....
Still soaking up a soggy carpet downstairs. Remind me when Mother's Day gets closer that Alex really owes me a GREAT present for this mess.
