Well, Matt is now graduated. He will soon be off to OSU, then we're down to 3.
Today, I had mounds of paperwork to finish, but I just couldn't stay at the office with Genevieve at an accelerated reading pool party.
Time just goes too quickly with these kids not to enjoy these kind of moments. She had a sparkle in her eye when I showed up to watch her do "cannon balls" into the pool with her friends. Greg took the day off to drive Ryan and his best friend Patrick to the Mustang Championship game in Keizer. The Mustangs did not win, but the Smith boys and Patrick had a great time being together for the day. (Good job Mustangs - we're proud of you!).
With only 2 gone, how am I going to feel when all 5 are gone?????? Poor kids. They will be the ones with a weeping mother in the crowd.
Truthfully, I did very well on Saturday. I did not cry one bit......until I got in the car to drive home. Then I cried for 2 hours straight. Alex & Ryan were good sports, they said they would just go ahead and live at home forever (isn't this nice of them???). Genevieve went right to sleep and missed the whole show. After all, with a bouncy house at the Luau (and her cousin Raven in attendance), it was all that she could do to walk to the car for the trip home.
