Today, Alex gave a speech to become the ASB Assistant Treasurer. We had asked him a million times when the big day was and he would always respond the same, "I don't know yet". Well, it was today.....so he had to give a speech off-the-cuff with no preparation. He said he felt that he did well. I'll be he did; and that takes a lot of courage to present a speech that hasn't been practiced yet! How neat that he has become such a great young man with the confidence to do this. Proud of that kiddo! Wish him luck....they vote tomorrow (another Smith in an election......how much more stress can this mom take????).
We're down to 7 days today. The election will be decided in one week. Ryan and I went door to door this evening. People are so nice to us - it has been such a blessing to serve this district!
Ryan, Alex & Genevieve have their big Spring Concert tomorrow evening. Genevieve is so excited! Alex & Ryan are not so excited....I think it's a "boy thing". Genevieve gets to sing a duet with her friend Nichole. They will be singing a part of the song "Under the Sea". She already has her dress and shoes laid out. Now that's organization!
I have placed Matt's party invitation below. We hope to see you there! After the party, their class will leave for a trip to Silverwood Theme Park (lucky ducks).

I watched my husband thank a lady recently who had helped out a young mother at a stake conference. The mother was doing all that she could, but her children were really fussing while someone was speaking. Without a word, another mother got up and helped out the mom in need. He told her how christ-like her actions were; helping someone out without being asked. Makes you wonder if we all took the time to help out a stranger in need what this world would become - - -- how it would change for the better. I'm grateful to that nice lady who set a great example for us all. She followed the example of her Father in Heaven......and it was a good reminder to me.
